Wisconsin TB Summit 2024

The Wisconsin TB summit returned in 2024 with weekly virtual sessions held every Tuesday in April! All sessions were recorded and are now available to view below.  In these sessions, local, state, and national tuberculosis experts share their work to understand and improve care for people diagnosed with TB in our community.

TB Challenges: Dealing with Drug Rashes | TB Infection & Disease: A Personal Story | Recorded April 9, 2024

Hear the experience of being diagnosed and treated for TB infection from both a personal and professional perspective as a public health nurse shares his story. You will also listen to an infectious disease provider and a dermatologist who give insights into the spectrum of severity of drug rashes, tools for assessment, and guidance on management of this challenging side effect.

Drug-resistant TB Outbreak in Wisconsin Corrections System | Recorded April 16, 2024

A Public Health Nurse will discuss a cluster of INH-resistant TB cases in corrections facilities across multiple jurisdictions in Wisconsin and review the collaborative work essential to case management and contact investigation.

An infectious disease provider explores clinical characteristics, risk factors, and treatment guidance for the diagnosis of culture negative TB.  A TB survivor shares his personal experience of living with pulmonary TB, seeking care, finding a cure, and moving forward with his life.
