Course: TB Nurse Case Management Level 1

Format: Virtual     Time Allocation: 14 hours

Pre-requisite:  Learners should have a fundamental understanding of tuberculosis, including TB transmission and pathogenesis. 

Description: This course equips nurses new to TB case management with a strong foundational understanding of the principles, practices, and responsibilities necessary to effectively manage patients with tuberculosis. By building essential knowledge and skills, participants will gain the confidence and competence to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care that supports optimal treatment outcomes and public health goals. Learning Objectives:

  • Examine the roles of TB nurses and collaborative processes that support successful TB case management
  • Explain the components of effective TB nurse case management
  • Apply key TB nurse case management concepts

Target Audience: Nurses and TB case managers who are newer to TB case management.

Course (Level 2): Case Collaboration: Advancing Nurse Case Management

Format: Hybrid    Time Allocation:  8 Hours

Pre-requisite: Participants should have completed a foundational Nurse Case Management course through a TB Center of Excellence and have at least two years of nursing experience. Nurses with substantial TB case management experience may also be considered.

Description: This interactive course explores advanced TB nurse case management topics through case-based learning, peer discussion, and collaborative problem-solving. Participants will examine complex scenarios, share best practices, and develop practical strategies to support patient care and program outcomes.

Learning Objectives: 

  • Apply best practices to address complex nurse case management challenges.
  • Analyze and recommend solutions for participant-driven case scenarios.
  • Evaluate case management strategies to improve patient care and program outcomes.

Target Audience: Nurses, TB case managers, and public health professionals seeking advanced TB case management training.
