Description: This self-paced course is designed for healthcare professionals who are new to tuberculosis with the essential knowledge and practical skills to identify, treat, and monitor latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) in alignment with CDC guidelines.
Learning Objectives:
- Define latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) and distinguish it from active TB
- Identify individuals who should be tested and treated for LTBI
- Select appropriate LTBI treatment regimens
- Implement strategies to support treatment adherence
- Recognize when to consult TB experts or refer patients for specialized care
Target Audience: Healthcare professionals involved in TB and LTBI care—such as physicians, nurses, pharmacists, public health staff, and case managers—with limited to moderate TB experience and minimal LTBI experience, seeking practical, foundational skills
