Course Description
This course explores the unique features of TB in children, including differences in disease presentation, progression, and immune response. Participants will enhance their skills in utilizing key diagnostic tools, such as interferon-gamma release assays (IGRAs), chest radiography, and microbiologic testing, to improve detection of both active TB and latent TB infection (LTBI). Additionally, the webinar will cover emerging trends in pediatric TB treatment, including shorter-course regimens for drug-susceptible and drug-resistant TB, while addressing ongoing challenges in care.
