The Wisconsin TB summit returns in 2025 with weekly virtual sessions held every Tuesday in April! Join local, state, and national tuberculosis experts as they share their work to understand and improve care for people diagnosed with TB in our community. 

Registration is free for all participants.  Sessions will be recorded and available for viewing after the live event.  CME will not be offered, but if you would like a record of attendance, you can email TBcenter@mayo.edu after the session and we can provide this to you.  You can find more information about each session below.  If you have any questions, please reach out to TBcenter@mayo.edu.

Pre-Conference

The Wisconsin TB program will also be hosting a pre-conference on Tuesday, March 18th intended for public health staff at Wisconsin local and Tribal health departments who work with clients diagnosed with Latent Tuberculosis Infection. Learn more here.

TB Epidemiology Update and Resource Review | April 1, 2025 | 9AM - 11AM CT

Local, State, and Regional TB organizations will provide an overview of TB epidemiology, mycobacteriology lab updates, and resources for clinicians working with people being screened, tested, and treated for TB infection and disease.

TB Isolation: Perspectives on the New Guidelines, from Idea to Implementation | April 8, 2025 | 12PM - 2:30PM CT

In this session a TB Survivor and a scientist team up to explain the updated NTCA respiratory isolation guidelines. Early Adopter State TB Nurse Consultants share their experiences rolling out these guidelines.

TB Challenges: Therapeutic Drug Monitoring with Case Study Examples | April 15, 2025 | 10AM - 12PM CT

Public health nurses and an infectious disease pharmacist give insights into therapeutic drug monitoring as a tool to enhance TB treatment and offer guidance on when and how to collect these specimens.

TB Costs | Ocular TB | April 22, 2025

TB Costs: Comparing Costs of TB Nurse Case Management for LTBI, TB, and Presumed TB | 9AM - 9:45AM CT A public health administrator reviews new data on just how much it costs for nurses to manage a variety of people with TB at a local health department. 

 TB Challenges: Ocular Tuberculosis | 10AM - 11AM CT An infectious disease provider explores the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of this challenging form of extrapulmonary TB.

Ask the Experts Panel Q & A | April 29, 2025 | 10AM - 11:30AM CT

Bring your complex cases, thorny questions, and lingering concerns about TB to this open question and answer session. A panel of TB experts will address all audience questions in real time. We encourage you to participate by submitting your questions in advance!
