Nursing Case Management
This one and a half-day intensive course will familiarize the public health nurse with an overview of tuberculosis infection, disease and clinical care using an interdisciplinary and interactive approach. The curriculum is provided through lecture and interactive case management sessions. The faculty is selected for their unique skill in encouraging interaction and building rapport with participants. The atmosphere is relaxed with an expectation that a free exchange of questions, comments and information will flow and occur throughout the sessions.
This course was designed for nurses who are involved in the management of patients with TB, supervise those who
provide care for TB patients, or are TB control staff. In addition to health department staff, individuals who work in the following settings would benefit from attending this workshop: hospital infection control, college or university health, correctional facilities, long term care facilities, immigrant & refugee health, or practice in the community.
